Crime Stoppers in the Decatur / Macon County area need your help regarding an aggravated cruelty to an animal.

 

On January 24th at approximately 8:30A.M., Macon County Deputies were dispatched near the intersection of Illiniwick / Sawyer Rd. just outside of Forsyth. 

Deputies arrived on scene and observed a large breed, brindle colored dog locked inside a crate.  The dog was deceased and appeared to have been neglected for a lengthy period of time. The dog was wearing a collar which contained multi-colored cartoon bones with a pink buckle.  (Photo attached). 

 

If you recognize the collar on this dog or have any information, please call Crime Stoppers at 217-423-TIPS.  You do not have to give your name.  Crime Stoppers will pay $500 or more for information that leads to an arrest on the crime of the week. In addition, Decatur and Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation has agreed to donate $500 and Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County has also agreed to donate an additional $1,000 for the arrest of the individual or individuals responsible for this crime.   Thank you.

News Release 8/2/12

The Decatur Police Department needs your help in locating Jermine Terrell Hubbert. He is a black male with a date of birth 10/22/86. His is 509 inches tall, weighing around 170 pounds.

On February 6, 2012 at 1:30 AM, Decatur Police Officers responded to The Night Owl Nightclub in reference to a shooting. The outcome of this incident was the shooting death of Tobias Jarrett. Further investigation into this incident, revealed that Jermine Hubbert was the person responsible for the shooting death of Tobias Jarrett. Jermine currently has an arrest warrant out of Macon County for first degree murder.

If you have any information as to the whereabouts of Jermine Hubbert, please call crime stoppers at 423-TIPS. You do not have to give your name. Crime stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to his arrest.

News Release 7/31/12

The Macon County Sheriff’s Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.

Between 8:00PM on July 28th and 8:00AM on July 29th, unknown subject(s) spray painted several items in Forsyth Park including a fence which is the property of Menards. There was approximately $2,000 in damage excluding labor to clean up the spray paint. There are no suspects at this time.

News Release 7/23/12

The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.

On July 22nd between 1:15 AM and 1:19AM, two armed robberies occurred in the 800 and 900 blocks of W. William. In both of these cases, the suspect pointed chrome colored revolver at the victims demanding their money. The suspect made away with items of value from both victims.

The suspect is described as a B/M, 600-604, 185-195, wearing dark colored jeans, a black t-shirt over a white t-shirt and a white mask covering his face with black circles around the eyes.
