Crime of the Week 11/6/23
The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.
At two separate times On October 29th, 2023 the Decatur Police responded to the 2100 block of E Roosevelt in reference to a shooting.
In both instances’ officers arrived on scene and observed shell casings in this block. In one instance officers observed a parked vehicle to have multiple bullet defects.
Several individuals on scene were interviewed and had no suspect information.
In one incident a neighbor observed a medium built b/m, wearing a brown jacket standing in the street holding a handgun. This suspect fired numerous rounds and ran westbound from the scene.

News Release 04/21/15
The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.
On 04/19/2015, sometime between 5:30 am and 10:30 am a Motor Vehicle Theft occurred in the area of 800 South 19th St. An unknown suspect, stole a Red Chevy Blazer from a residential driveway and was last seen leaving the area North on 19th St. The Chevy Blazer was later recovered that day, in the area of 1900 E. Prairie St.

News Release 03/17/15
The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.
On 03/09/2015, at approximately 5:00 p.m. a burglary occurred at Interior Specialty Construction, 880 E. Pershing Rd. An unknown suspect, entered the chain link fence surrounding the business sometime during the evening or early morning, and took several power tools from a trailer located on the parking lot.

News Release 03/03/15
The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.
On 02/16/2015, at approximately 4:18 P.M., a forgery occurred at Walgreen’s, 1311 N. Rt. 48. Two suspects one an Hispanic male, 35-40 years of age, approximately 6’00 foot, medium build, short brown hair and goatee passed a fake $100.00 dollar bill to the cashier. The other suspect an Hispanic female 30-45 years of age, approximately 5’05, medium build and long Black hair attempted to pass another fake $100.00 bill to a separate cashier, and was unsuccessful. This type of forgery has occurred on other occasions and all businesses are encouraged to be on the lookout for subjects attempting to pass fake bills.
