The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.

On October 4th, 2023 at approximately 5:00 A.M. Decatur Police were dispatched to McDonalds located at 962 W Eldorado in reference to an aggravated robbery.  Officers arrived on scene and spoke to two employees who advised they were outside the business when they were approached by a w/f suspect who implied she had a firearm.  This suspect pushed something hard into the lower back of one of the employees and attempted to force them inside the building.  The employees realized the suspect wasn’t armed and she took off running N/B towards Cerro Gordo street. 

 

The W/F suspect was observed to be wearing a “black panther” mask and had a gray colored backpack. The suspect was wearing blue hooded sweatshirt with a red t-shirt underneath, dark colored pants, and black flip flops.

News Release 05/18/15

The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.

On 05/17/2015, at approximately 1:30 am a Criminal Damage occurred at 150 E. William St., (Haines and Essick).  A display window and flower box which were both located near the front entrance of the store, were damaged.  Two unknown Black male juvenile suspects dressed in all Black clothing, were seen in front of the business when the incident occurred and took off running Northeast through a vacant parking lot, when confronted by a witness.

News Release 04/21/15

The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.

On 04/19/2015, sometime between 5:30 am and 10:30 am a Motor Vehicle Theft occurred in the area of 800 South 19th St.   An unknown suspect, stole a Red  Chevy Blazer from a residential driveway and was last seen leaving the area North on 19th St.  The Chevy Blazer was later recovered that day, in the area of 1900 E. Prairie St.

News Release 03/17/15

The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.

On 03/09/2015, at approximately 5:00 p.m. a burglary occurred at Interior Specialty Construction, 880 E. Pershing Rd.   An unknown suspect, entered the chain link fence surrounding the business sometime during the evening or early morning, and took several power tools from a trailer located on the parking lot.
