Crime of the week 1/23/23

The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.

 

On January 15th, 2023, Decatur Police responded to the 1000 block of W Green in reference to a shooting. 

 

Officers arrived on scene and observed numerous shell casings in the roadway.  A short time later a gunshot victim arrived at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

 

Police spoke to the victim who advised he was sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle in this block when a blue colored Ford Fusion drove past him going W/B.  As the vehicle drove by the passenger in this Ford Fusion leaned out and began shooting at him multiple times.  The Ford Fusion continued driving W/B and was last observed N/B on Oakland Street. 

 

Both the driver and passenger in the Ford Fusion were B/M’s, wearing face coverings, who appeared to be in their 20’s.

News Release 11/3/14

The Decatur Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.

At approximately 1:40am on October 21st, two unknown black males committed a home invasion at a residence in the 1800 block of E. Winnetka.  Both victims were approached by these two black males as soon as they arrived home after pulling their vehicle into their garage.  At least one of the black males was armed with a handgun.  At least three gunshots were fired during this incident.

Suspect #1 is described as a very light skinned black male in his 20’s, 505/thin build, wearing a light colored hoodie armed with a handgun.

Suspect #2 is described as a darker skinned black male in his 20’s, slightly taller than suspect #1, thin build and wearing all dark colored clothing.

News Release 9/30/14

 

The Macon County Sheriff’s Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.

Between 8:00pm on September 20th and 11:30am on September 21st, unknown person(s) damaged the concrete “Infinity Cross” statue located in Niantic Park at 187 E. Lewis.  It appears unknown person(s) used bodily force to bend the top of the statue causing the concrete to break away from the rebar supports.  The statue is valued at $600.00.  At this time there are no suspect(s).

News Release 9/10/14

 

The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.

On September 8th at approximately 11:45 am, an armed robbery occurred at Domino’s Pizza located at 1948 E. Eldorado. A Domino’s Pizza employee reported… a black male, 500-505, thin build, wearing all dark clothing, a dark colored ball cap and a white colored bandanna covering his hand and face, jumped the counter and pointed his bandanna covered hand at the employee implying he had a weapon. The employee reported handing over an amount of U.S. Currency, at which time the suspect fled the business.  A witness observed the suspect prior to entering Domino’s Pizza.  The witness reported the suspect as having short hair, clean shaven, 505, thin build and approximately 25-30 years of age.
