Crime of the Week 4/17/23
The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.
On April 10th, 2023 at approximately 4:45P.M. Decatur Police responded to the Soy City Motel Located at 1828 E Eldorado in reference to a robbery.
Officers arrived on scene and spoke to a victim who advised he was standing outside in the parking lot of the Motel when two b/m suspects approached him. One suspect was described as a b/m, approximately 6`00″ with short braids wearing a red colored shirt and the second suspect was described as a b/m approximately 40 years of age wearing a blue shirt.
Without provocation these suspects began hitting the victim multiple times knocking him to the ground and removing an undisclosed amount of money from the victim’s pocket.
The suspects then entered a tan colored older style Toyota brand SUV and drive off the lot W/B on Eldorado Street. A picture of the suspects’ vehicle can be observed below.

News Release 03/24/16
The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.
On 03/23/16, at approximately 10:30 AM., an Armed Robbery occurred in the 700 block of West King St. The suspect a White male dressed in all Black, wearing a Black Ski Mask approached a female victim walking West on the North side of the sidewalk. The suspect was described as having Hazel eyes, 20-30 years of age, 130-140 pounds and approximately 5’03 in height. The White male had a Black handgun and took money from the victim. The suspect then fled the scene on foot, Northbound on the west side of 732 W. King St.

News Release 02/23/16
The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.
On 02/18/16, at approximately 07:55 pm., a Home Invasion occurred in the 1300 block of East Condit St. Three young Black males possibly in their teens, forced entry to a residence and battered a disabled elderly male. One of the suspects held a gun on the elderly male, while one of the other suspects removed items from the residence. The third suspect acted as a lookout. The suspects then fled the residence in an unknown direction on foot.

News Release 01/16/15
The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.
On 01/13/16, at approximately 11:38 pm., an Armed Robbery occurred at 1597 N. Martin Luther King Jr., Dr., at the MLK Last Stop. Two male suspects of unknown race entered the store wearing all Black clothing, masks and Black gloves. Both suspects were wearing White and Pink rimmed sunglasses. One of the suspects was armed with a Silver revolver. The other suspect was armed with a Silver semi-automatic pistol. One of the suspects battered and shot a cashier, while removing cash from the register inside the business. The suspects then fled the business in an unknown direction on foot.
